Chart notes
RUNNING RAGGED away well, pressed three wide under a ride, pulled even with FORTY THREE CENTS past the quarter pole then staged a spirited duel with that foe down the stretch, got a head in front late and prevailed. FORTY THREE CENTS was sent for the lead from the break, dueled briefly with QUEEN'S KNIGHT then went clear through the turn, finished well under strong handling and intermittent urging, fought back gamely when challenged in the stretch by RUNNING RAGGED but came up short in the end in a gallant effort. CAJUN COASTER outrun from the start, advanced on the rail through the turn, cut the corner into the stretch and finished willingly to claim third. NATIVE RED unable to contest the early pace despite being under a drive from the start, advanced forward through the turn, came three wide into the stretch and finished with good energy while never a threat to the top pair. TOMBIGBEE raced very wide down the backstretch, tucked in to the three path for the run through the turn then six wide into the stretch and passed a few stragglers in the stretch. QUINNSALTYOFFICER settled mid-pack on the inside, got a rail run into the stretch and had every chance until weakening inside the furlong grounds. QUEEN'S KNIGHT sent hard from the break, dueled with FORTY THREE CENTS to the turn, gave way under pressure near the quarter pole and was not a factor in the late stages. ABOUT THE BUSINESS raced mid-pack to the turn then struggled to keep up while holding the rail and hand little to offer in the stretch. STANLEY LITTLE BOY was outrun from the start and showed little.
