AMARONA SIOUX a step slow to begin, was hustled for the early lead and set a contested pace three wide heading for the turn, vied for the lead three wide and between runners nearing the quarter marker, battled into upper stretch then met the bid of CRYPTIC MISS at the furlong pole, dueled into the final sixteenth, was bested in the late stages and was clear of the rest for second. BEVERLY DINER pressed the early pace three then two wide and between runners, contested the pace into the turn then vied for the lead between foes into upper stretch, battled past the furlong marker then yielded in the final sixteenth and just held for third at the wire. R JOAN JETS sent to be prominent early, pressed the pace from the inside heading to the turn, disputed the pace along the bend then vied for the lead at the quarter marker, battled into the stretch, weakened into the final sixteenth and just missed for third. OUR SECRET CODE lugged in early on and bothered inner rivals, recovered then chased two to three wide into the turn, ran in pursuit into the stretch, could not sustain his run into the final sixteenth and was outkicked in the late stages. FRECKLES FOREVER ducked in at the start then was rank early, steadied in traffic passing the chute then trailed up the backstretch, saved ground into the turn then swung three to four wide into upper stretch, advanced at the furlong grounds then flattened out late. CHICKS NIGHT OUT away in good order then was forced in and checked in the early going, recovered then tracked the pace while saving ground into the turn, raced a bit in tight approaching the quarter marker, chased two wide into the lane then lacked the needed late response. OSAGE EXPRESS forwardly placed early, was caught in tight between runners and checked nearing the half-mile marker, chased two wide then from the rail into the turn, well placed at the quarter marker, ran in in pursuit into the stretch then tired in the final furlong.
