Chart notes
MIZZEN THE POINT stalked the pace four then five wide into the stretch, rallied under right handed urging to make the lead in deep stretch and drew clear. DRIVEN FOR SUCCESS made the lead soon after the start, set a pressured pace until deep stretch then couldn't handle the winner and finished clear for second. HIGHLY EXPLOSIVE vied for the early lead, loomed boldly three wide nearing the quarter pole, matched strides into the stretch then came up empty. SHES A STORM had early speed five wide, dropped to the rail at the half mile pole, offered a strong bid along the rail into the stretch, lacked room at the furlong marker, checked and lost momentum. SPICE ICE was no factor. MISS SPRINGSTEEN pressed the early pace two wide and was through after a half mile.
