Chart notes
GRAND ILLUSION cleared in the initial strides then was joined by an outer MINIMO into the first turn, sparred under rating, shook clear when let out near the five sixteenths, widened the advantage under a drive in upper stretch then was fully extended through the final furlong to hold sway. DAPPER DUDE , three wide stalking the dueling leaders, dropped in a path nearing the far turn, was briefly paused behind a fading foe leaving the five sixteenths, cut the corner under a ride after regrouping into the stretch, altered out leaving mid stretch and finished gamely. MOVE IN SILENCE broke outward, corrected and raced four wide around the first turn, edged up three wide to take aim near the half, gave hard chase three to four wide through the drive but finished evenly. MINIMO drifted in and bumped TIE BREAKER LENNIE when being sent to contention into the first turn, moved to near even terms outside the winner soon into the backstretch, dueled, was put to a ride past the three eighths, failed to quicken approaching the stretch and gradually gave way. TIE BREAKER LENNIE was bumped and put in tight by an outer MINIMO in the opening furlong, recovered and settled in about the four path, lacked a response into the far turn and faltered.
