Chart notes
GOLDEN NOTE cleared soon after the start, set a rated pace just off the inside, spurted away past the quarter pole, kept on under strong handling through the final furlong and held firm. SAFECRACKER SUE , nudged to contention, prompted the pace three wide, was put to a ride pursuing the winner mid turn and held well to the wire. ENTICING OPTION broke slowly, regrouped advanced to a forward spot while saving ground into the turn, gave hard chase around the turn, remained inside for the drive and faded. HARPER BRIANA , off the pace, raced three to five wide and failed to get involved. WAHIDA OF MARDAN stalked the early pace three to four wide, was under a hearty ride leaving the three eighths, failed to kick on entering the lane and tired. PURE HICKORY dwelt badly, finally left the gate as the field was heading towards the turn then failed to get involved. There was a stewards' inquiry into the start of PURE HICKORY. No action was deemed necessary.
