Chart notes
RAMESSES angled out for the backstretch run and stalked three wide, edged up and bid three deep near the five sixteenths, exchanged a brush with an inner foe near the quarter pole, emerged in a duel outside RAGNOW leaving mid stretch, battled nose to nose under right handed asking through the final sixteenth and narrowly prevailed. RAGNOW stalked the pace, moved up and bid between foes mid way on the final turn, exchanged contact when in a bit tight nearing the lane, drew on near even terms past mid stretch, battled valiantly and in close proximity to the inside of the winner through the final yards and just missed. CUTLASS KING cleared into the first turn, set the pace towards the inner rail, dug in when confronted by outer bids near the five sixteenths, stayed on while encountering contact approaching the stretch, failed to kick on with the top pair exiting the furlong grounds and faded. MY LAST ESCAPADE steadied off heels nearing the backstretch, recovered and rated in the clear, circled four wide with an advance into the stretch but failed to sustain in the final furlong. BEARS' D settled off the pace while saving ground, angled outside a tiring foe near the far turn, shifted back inside near the three eighths and failed to generate a rally. ROYAL AND READY , three wide early stalking the pace, shifted in nearing the far turn, faltered and was eased through the final furlong. An objection by the rider of RAGNOW against the winner for alleged interference in the stretch was not allowed.
