Chart notes
FINDING WAYS away alertly and raced to the lead while saving ground at the rail entering the first turn, fended off a challenge from BAK TO LIBERTY through the final turn, and was never seriously threatened late. BAK TO LIBERTY broke sharply and tracked the leader into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, loomed a threat while commencing a two wide bid entering the final turn, and while no match for the winner late, proved clearly second best. THERE GOES MY HERO away well and stalked the leaders into the backstretch while saving ground at the rail, rallied smartly from along the inside entering the final turn, tipped three wide into the lane, and finished evenly to prove best of the rest. OSTRACIZE hopped at the start to get away awkwardly, and trailed the field into the first turn, tipped three wide entering the backstretch while racing into a striking position, rallied two wide into the final turn, and finished from along the rail in the drive. JERSEYS IMAGE settled well off the early pace while trailing the field in the run down the backside, was always well back and showed little. Following the running of the race there was a stewards inquiry into the start of the race. After review there was no change made to the original order of finish.
