Chart notes
DEVIL'S TOWER hopped at the start and was allowed to remain settled in the back, continued patiently ridden up the backstretch, crept a bit closer two wide late on the turn, shifted to the three path and put to a drive near the furlong marker, kicked in gamely and forged clear. GOLDEN LUNA vied inside of DAWSONS STORM for the lead up the backstretch, continued to hold a slight edge around the turn, cleared on top at the head of the lane, dug in under firm handily and got overtaken late. SAMURAI PRINCE settled off the pace while saving ground, crept closer late on the turn, given cue turning for home, advanced into striking distance along the rail then yielded late. DAWSON'S STORM vied outside of GOLDEN LUNA up the backstretch and around the turn, failed to match strides at the head of the lane and steadily faded. BILL'S HONOR raced off the early pace, coaxed three to four wide around the turn and failed to respond. HURRICANE J was forwardly placed sitting just off the top pair, failed to advance under a ride around the turn and gave way. OUR LAST CHANCE chased three to four wide in range through early stages, lacked response when called upon around the turn and steadily retreated.
