Chart notes
HWY TWENTY RIDE tracked three wide to the turn, kept to the same path through the turn while not being asked, was set down passing the quarter pole, response and finished best to win clear in the end. PUCKSTER tracked off the pace on the inside to the turn, slipped through an opening on the rail just past the three-sixteenth pole, finished up well but could not get to the winner. SOUL SNATCHER broke inward and brushed with LA BOUCANE at the break then dueled outside of that foe through the early stages, came under pressure at the quarter pole, raced on the left lead down the stretch and outfinished that rival but proved to match for the top two. LA BOUCANE dueled inside of SOUL SNATCHER to the stretch then gave way in the final furlong. ROYCES RIDE broke well, stalked the dueling leaders three wide, tried to challenge approaching the seven-sixteenths pole but was unable to match the pace, dropped back and was not involved in the stretch. SAILOR SLEW veered out sharply after the start then dropped far behind, chased throughout and was never a factor.
