KATS PICK was away well and pulled to the front racing closest to the rail, was inside of three contesting the early lead, response when asked to quicken from the five-sixteenths marker, look a short lead into the stretch and held sway under steady handling and intermittent urging to prevail. MUNCLE was off balance as the gates opened and veered out into WATCH THE COAST, then took a four wide path through the first turn then moved out to form a trio contesting the early pace through slow fractions, launched a bid with three furlongs to run then chased KATS PICK into the stretch, gave all but was unable to pass that one and had to settle for second. KEE JEE lacked early speed despite the best efforts of the rider, settled inside with the trailing trio but was under a ride to maintain position, angled out four wide for the stretch then finished with some late interest under urging and was along in time to grab the third prize. ITS WILD AGAIN broke well but was taken in hand behind the pace, was always close up inside to the far turn, saved ground and got a clean inside run into the stretch finished well but was not quite good enough to threaten. WATCH THE COAST was bothered a bit at the start by MUNCLE, then became rank and hard to place through the first turn and onto the backstretch, steadied repeatedly while racing close up behind the leaders, struggled to keep up as the pace quickened late on the turn and was unable to pose a threat in the late stages. ZIPPY TOGA raced in the middle of the pack and finished evenly under strong handling. MOON TRIP broke through the gate before the start, was reset then missed the real break, raced between horses in the trailing trio and lacked a late bid. KOODIE was slow into stride and held up at the rear, became a bit rank turning onto the backstretch and shifted to the outside, settled down three wide on the far turn, came five wide under a drive but could not make an impact. MINE YOUR BIZ took a light bump from WATCH THE COAST on the rebound, vied between horses with the leading trio, dropped off the pace leaving the three furlong pole and had nothing left for the stretch run. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
