Chart notes
MR. FAVERSHAM was unhurried early, settled three wide with the trio at the back, steadily advanced down the backstretch, waited for room through the turn, tipped out four wide in mid-stretch surged though and opening under handling and edged clear in the final yards. SOUTH SIDE took back after the start and angled to the inside, raced in the back of the pack for the first half-mile, bided time patiently on the the far turn then responsed when set down four wide passing the quarter pole, put in a strong finish but could not catch the winner. ORDER UP stalked three wide for the first half, then launched a three wide bid from the three furlong pole, gained the lead in upper stretch then lugged in, lost momentum and was outfinished in the late stages. RED ROAD made the early running through the first turn then was joined by PLAY MO on the backstretch, dueled inside of that foe to the stretch, fought on gamely under urging then steadied at the sixteenth pole and lost any chance. PLAY MO was on or near the lead through the early stages, quickened along with RED ROAD from the three furlong pole, battled between horses in the stretch then gave way in the final furlong. Z Z'S PRINCE settled between horses in the trailing group, made a mild bid on the far turn then had a lot of trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch and faltered. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
