MS. POUNDS pressed the early pace from the inside, checked while in tight entering the turn, saved ground along the bend then vied for the lead into upper stretch, took command into the lane, kept to task through the late stages and proved best. GABRIELLA WHO bumped at the start and a step slow to begin, advanced between runners and was well placed heading to the turn, bid three wide along the bend then chased four wide into upper stretch, could not reel in the winner into deep stretch and outfinished SAPELLO SONRISA to earn the place honors. SAPELLO SONRISA broke alertly, showed good speed and set the pace to the turn, led into the stretch then was overtaken by MS. POUNDS, chased the winner to deep stretch and was outfinished for second, while clear of the rest for third. BAM AGAIN raced close up to the early pace, tracked four wide into the turn, chased five wide into upper stretch and lacked the needed late response. HURRICANE SAYLOR off slow to begin, settled outside of rivals along the backstretch, gained ground five wide along the turn, swung six wide into upper stretch and had no late rally. ADVANCE tracked the early pace from the second flight, chased two wide along the turn, shifted to the rail nearing the top of the lane, could not muster the needed late response and weakened. MISSIONARY MARY bumped at the start, was caught in tight early on and shuffled back, chased two to three wide along the turn, swung four wide into upper stretch and did not offer a late response. MISS KENZIE chased the early pace from the inside, saved ground into the turn, tipped two wide into upper stretch and gave way. BURNINGDAYLIGHT settled off of the early pace, saved ground into the turn, swung three wide for the stretch drive and did not threaten in the late stages. FOR THE GRAM forwardly placed away from the start, made a steady retreat while three wide nearing the turn, swung six wide for the stretch drive and was not a late factor. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate final time available.
