PASSAGE EAST broke a half-step slow then came outward, was rated just off the pace, drafted behind horses in the two path for most of the turn, shifted to the three path while asked inside the five-sixteenths pole, rallied outside into the stretch, gained the lead at the three-sixteenths pole, kicked clear under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker, drew away under the crop until just outside the sixteenth-pole then was placed under a solid hand-ride to the finish while much the best. NOTMYSTEPPINGSTONE was hustled to the front, showed the way under pressure to her outside while off the rail, moved in late on the backstretch, dropped from the two path to the rail early on the turn, was asked outside the three-eighths pole, passed the five-sixteenths pole under a strong hand-ride, lost the advantage under a drive at the three-sixteenths pole and proved no match for the winner while able to hold the place. SPUN SIZE pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three then two path on the turn, drew even with the leader late on that bend, was roused outside the quarter-pole, remained on even terms for the lead into upper stretch, lost touch with the winner outside the furlong marker then chased that foe into the final furlong and also proved no match then missed the place but was clear for the show. BROADWAY LIGHTS broke a half-step slow, was reserved on the outside, went around the turn in the four path, was roused outside the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and came up empty. AWESOME ROBERTA dropped back after the start then settled at the rear, fell further off the pace under urging leaving the backstretch, moved from the inside to the three path on the turn and failed to respond.
