Chart notes
GIL'S FOLLY was forced in and steadied at the start, soon after had to steady again along the rail when placed in tight quarters, settled toward the rear, saved ground beginning to advance along the rail through the turn, swung out seven wide coming to the top of the stretch, was flying late and just got up to win the nod. COME ON BIG LOU quickly moved to the front and sped clear to set the pace, was clear till very late and just nailed. AIM DON'T MISS broke on top then settled off the pace, raced about mid-pack off the rail, swung six wide turning for home, was guided in a bit, rallied between runners to secure show honors. SERENADE POINT pursued from outside a foe ahead of mid-division but still back of the leaders, improved between foes late but needed more. SHORT STORY LONG chased the leading pair from off the inside, went in the three to four path on the turn, drifted in mid- to late-stretch, failed to rally. BLACKHILLSHERRIFF saved ground racing about mid-pack inside, went evenly. Z HUB bumped with a rival at the start, shifted in early, saved ground on the turn, went evenly. MIKEY BOY exchanged a bump with the outside foe then was forced into the inside rival at the start, altered outside runners past the half, showed mild late interest. BAPTIST BILLY broke a step slowly, was forced out a bit late up the backstretch, raced outside at the rear and was never near enough to threaten. BOURBONONAHOLIDAY was between runners early and never a factor. THE DREAM LISTENER got away well, chased the eventual runner-up, faltered in the stretch, was eased through the final furlong and walked off.
