Chart notes
MISS PIERRE moved to the lead inside soon after the start, set the pace, was asked in upper stretch, had enough in reserve to maintain a clear advantage and hold sway. MIRAMICHI pulled a bit moving forward in behind the leader early, tracked that one in behind, was no match but second best. JIMMY'S AFFAIR broke just a half step slowly, settled off the pace, advanced inside foes but off the fence, ran up in behind runners with just momentary traffic coming to the top of the stretch, found room immediately thereafter but could only go on evenly in the stretch. JUST A GEM settled mid-division, advanced mildly on the turn, was all out between runners at the quarter pole, ran on in the lane. HYMN TO HER settled outside going four wide into the turn, swung eleven deep out of that bend, was never near enough to threaten. MAGIC TOKEN failed to threaten racing just off the rail at the back. NIKITA'S GEM was not a factor. REALLY THIRSTY got away well, ceded the lead and was taken in hand, stalked the eventual winner, faltered and faded.
