Chart notes
ROLL ON BIG JOE vied two wide, took the turn in the three path, drew clear in upper stretch and held sway under a mild drive. CARAMEL CHIP laid off of the pace in the four path, crept closer in the five path while ranging up outside of the main group turning for home, then ran on to gain place but was kept at bay in the late stages. DURANTE pressed outside of the top pair and from the four path, but failed to keep pace with an inner rival in upper stretch, chased between horses thereafter but got outkicked by an outer rival in the final furlong. GOLD LUCK tracked two wide and between horses, awaited racing room turning for home, chased among foes into midstretch but lacked progress. OTTO THE CONQUEROR broke sharply, crossed over and led early on before being confronted by an outer ROLL ON BIG JOE after a quarter mile, vied with that one around the turn, proved no match in upper stretch and faded. TEJANO TWIST broke a step slow, lagged well behind the rest down the backstretch, rejoined the field while spinning into the lane in the two to four path but failed to reach contention. TOP GUNNER tracked along the inside while bottled up around the turn, then gave way.
