Chart notes
NORTHERN CHILL prompted two wide, dueled around the turn, drew clear in upper stretch and held sway under a drive. PROTEGE brushed with an inner rival at the start, tracked three wide, chased in the four path entering the lane and ran on. MORUNNING broke a beat slow, tracked from midpack two wide and between horses, stayed on to gain show at the furlong grounds and held that position. BAYTOWN BRUISER raced off of the pace four wide, floated out to the six path into the lane and offered a mild kick. EXPRESS LINE raced off of the pace in the three path and between horses, shifted out to the five path into the lane and lacked a bid. UNCLE WILLIAM was brushed between horses and squeezed back at the start, trailed in the three path and failed to menace. TURN UP THE TREES brushed an outer rival at the start, set the pace inside of the eventual winner, dueled with that one turning for home, but proved no match in upper stretch and caved. COMMITTEE OF ONE raced forwardly along the inside, but came under an all-out drive nearing the half mile pole and weakened around the turn.
