MACRON broke a step slow, settled on the outside, rallied while moving from the three path to the five path on the turn, closed strongly to get the lead in upper stretch, responded well in the final furlong and prevailed under strong urging. STOLEN BASE tracked the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn, was given his cue outside the quarter-pole, chased the leader under a drive into the final sixteenth-pole, made a bid in the final sixteenth and just missed while clear for the place. SLIP MAHONEY broke out and bumped a rival hard, was well placed just off the pace, came under urging in the two path on the turn, chased under a drive into the final furlong, steadied behind foes shortly thereafter then moved out and narrowly earned the show. ON THE LEDGE was bumped hard at the start then forced strongly into another rival, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, took the lead in the three path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage in upper stretch, battled under a drive into the final furlong and weakened. SCHEDULING DUDE showed speed then set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied in the two path early on the turn, lost the advantage near the three-eighths pole, moved to the rail late on the bend, was asked near the quarter-pole, dropped back under a drive into the final furlong and tired. NEURAL NETWORK was bumped very hard at the start then bobbled while forced strongly into another opponent and checked, spotted the front several lengths, settled at the rear, went around the turn in the three path, turned into upper stretch in the four path while under the crop and failed to threaten. DUKE OF GLOUCESTER bumped very hard with a rival just after the start and bobbled then checked, spotted the front several lengths, moved in early then settled, was urged along passing the nine-sixteenths pole, saved ground on the turn and was no factor.
