DAI VERNON laid off of the pace in the four path, advanced outside of rivals nearing the backstretch, stalked outside of the top pair shortly after, came under urging while sustaining striking range around the far turn, but lacked progress while being brushed to the five path in upper stretch, yet ran on in to the final furlong, gained and advantage at the sixteenth pole and edged clear. NEON NIGHTS showed the way in the two path, vied with an outer presser around the far turn, got narrowly headed by that one in upper stretch, fought on gamely to reclaim a brief advantage in the final furlong, but got outkicked by a wider challenger at the sixteenth pole and held place. WINTERS LION broke a step slow while last away, laid off of the pace along the inside before moving two wide and between horses into the backstretch, pursued around the far turn, brushed while moving to the four path in upper stretch then stayed on between rivals. SPECIAL DISPATCH checked between the top pair into the first turn, recovered to stalk outside of the leader and from the three path, applied pressure before vying around the far turn, led narrowly entering the lane in the four to three path, dueled through midstretch but yielded between horses with a sixteenth to go. REALIGNMENT pursued from the two to three path, steadied between horses as the pace slowed nearing the backstretch, trailed in the four path, moved out to the six path in upper stretch and lacked a bid. MO HOPE laid close up along the inside, tracked down the backstretch, chased while lacking rail progress in upper stretch and faded.
