Chart notes
BIG HAT WILLIE trailed early on , advanced in the three path and between horses passing the half mile pole, crept closer in the four path around the bend to bid outside of the leaders entering the lane, gained command at the three sixteenths pole and drove clear reaching midstretch. GUNNER BAY laid close up along the inside, chased from the two path around the turn, awaited racing room while encountering traffic in upper stretch, tipped out to the five path in midstretch and ran on to edge place. CHASING TIME progressed to bid three wide at the half mile pole, vied around the turn, wrangled a narrow advantage entering the lane, but was outkicked by an outer bidder passing the three sixteenths pole, dug in to brace for an outer challenge for place in the final furlong but got bested. CAN'T HUSH THIS raced forwardly, bid two wide and along with an outer rival at the half mile pole, vied around the turn but gave way in upper stretch. SWIFT AS I AM raced off of the pace in the four path, trailed around the turn and failed to factor. HOCUS led and crossed over early on, vied with a pair of outer bidders passing the half mile pole, got headed at the three furlong marker and weakened entering the lane.
