Chart notes
BOBBY ROCK ducked in sharply in the opening strides while unseating her rider. KITTEN KANDY away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of ANDALEIGH in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, held a narrow advantage into the lane, and just failed to last. FLOYD was fractious prior to the start, and slow into stride but rushed up three wide entering the first turn to battle for the lead, was unable to keep tabs on the top pair in the run to the final turn, and weakened over the final furlong. ANDALEIGH broke sharply and dueled for the lead from between rivals entering the first turn, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backside and through the final turn, and finished determinedly three wide in the drive to wear down his pace rival in the final strides to prevail. Following the running of this race the stewards conducted an inquiry into the start of the race, in particular to the actions of BOBBY ROCK. After review there was no change made to the original order of finish.
