Chart notes

CASEYS MEMORY was forwardly placed soon after the start, moved two wide into the first turn, pressed the pace up the backstretch, briefly matched strides with LUCKIE LOUIE then shook free on the far turn, came two wide into the lane, roused for more, responded willingly and pulled away. LAST DIAMOND raced three wide around the first turn, sat in stalking position off the top pair through the backstretch, hustled along three wide near the quarter pole, sustained bid down the lane and secured second best. HOLIDAY FANTASY was unhurried around the first turn, remained reserved in the rear up the backstretch, saved ground around the final turn, tipped two wide for the drive, headed in pursuit and cleared a share. LUCKY LOUIE sped to the lead at the start and continued on top near the inside on the first turn, set the pace under some pressure from CASEYS MEMORY through the backstretch, challenged by aforementioned foe entering the final turn, got collared for the lead but remained in contention then tired in the drive.
