Chart notes

ASK IN MY NAME was off a step slow to begin, recouped smartly to be alone watching the dueling front twosome down the backside, edged up through the turn while outside another runner, bid three wide upper stretch outside and wore down a stubborn rival nearing the finish line. VALYRIAN SKY angled in getting just off the fence for the early lead, relinquished the front midway along the backstretch, set the pace going head to head up front throughout the turn, edged away from the inside speed foe leaving the turn, dug in when headed outside by the winner at the furlong marker but could not fend off the winner who had a nice set through in the race. THENORTHREMEMBERS broke in on the start, tracked the co-leaders in the second flight on the rail around the bend, shifted out off the top three to the five path in mid-stretch and closed in belatedly to capture the show award late. BACHELOR PAD moved up on the fence after the break to poke his head in front narrowly at the five eighths marker, battled inside around the turn, began to give way on the front end in upper stretch, could not go on with the top duo by the furlong marker and held on at the finish for a minor placing. MY TWO AUNT JOANS stalked on the fence close to the back of the pack, continued to be in the final grouping at the rear around the bend, began to weave through runners at the quarter pole three wide and had good late interest on the fence down the stretch. BET N WIN settled in mid-pack in the three path along the backside, ran evenly in the third tier inside through the turn, angled to the three path for the drive but had little impact down the lane. MANNIX (IRE) stalked four deep close to the rear, closed the gap slightly still going four wide around the oval, shifted out in the six path straightening out for the stretch run but lacked a rally outside foes down the lane. FORESTER HUMOR had a tracking role outside in the third flight down the backside, made no change running on the turn, shifted just outside four wide in upper stretch and could only finish up to the wire one paced. MIGHTY SEA co-trailed on the outside, made no headway while going four wide throughout the bend, shifted out to the seven-path turning for home but could not be a factor in the stretch running. VALLEY VICTORY travelled just off the rail in midfield, was in tight on the fence nearing the five sixteenths and was checked slightly dropping back some and could not get involved while on the fence driving to the wire. LONG POND co-trailed on the inside, had little to offer between horses when three wide in the turn, shifted out six wide for the stretch wide but was empty.
