Chart notes
ITS TIME TO SHINE seized the lead on the rail soon after the start, edged away for a clear lead in midturn, spurted away when set down in upper stretch and with a well rationed ride won comfortably when crossing the finish line. GIANT TEDDY settled between foes in mid-division going down the backside, improved making a bit of a move at the half mile marker to watch the contesting duo, while in hand inched up the rail measuring the pacesetter on the turn, shifted just outside in mid-stretch sights set on the leader but could not get to the winner late who had something left in reserve. POSEIDON STEEL was unhurried trailing down the back straight, continued to see runners still at the rear around the bend saving ground and with a strong late rush in the final furlong got up inside rivals at the wire for the show award. HIGHLAND LIFE had a rail position in tight along the backside, was checked mildly getting off the fence dropping back with a half mile to run, started to rally three furlongs out opting for the overland route around the turn, angled out widest in the six path straightening for home, grinded away outside picking up rivals but just missed holding for the show award losing the nod right at the finish line. COTTON travelled three deep in midfield along the backstretch, ran on evenly isolated in the middle of the pack around the bend, shifted out five wide with a chance for a share of the prize but finished up one paced in the late stages. LIGHT THE LAMP prompted the pace on the outside in the early stages, had a chasing role through the turn with the leader getting some seperation, shifted out three wide still in the mix at the top of the stretch, had little left late and yielded between others in the last sixteenth.
