Chart notes
FETE set the pace on a clear lead while well rated, maintained a well-measured lead through the far turn, repelled the runner-up in upper stretch and held the advantage willingly throughout in a well handled ride. MR. COLOSSAL prompted the pace from two wide to the far turn, was called upon to challenge the pacesetter turning for home, was unable to close the gap and chased the winner home as second best. AND THATS MY STORY stalked the pace from the inside to be wel placed to the far turn, waited patiently behind the leader on the bend and lacked a closing response when called upon in upper stretch. MISSIONARY MAN tracked the leaders throughout and failed to mount a rally. WAR FIRE went evenly failing to menace at any time. SHOOT THE WAVES was not a factor. PRACTICALLY GIVEN dwelt at the start and was not persevered with when hopelessly out of contention.
