THE DOORMAN tracked the pacesetter from two wide down the backside, steadily closed the gap through the far turn to engage the leader at the quarter pole, took command in upper stretch and drew away in the lane. GLOBES stalked the leader patiently from three wide for the first five-eighths, rallied on the far turn to loom turning for home, made a threatening bid in upper stretch but could not go with the winner and finished willingly to hold the place. Q F SEVENTY FIVE reserved off the early pace along the inside, raced up the inside to contention on the final bend waiting behind the pacesetter, angled four wide turning for home to mount a rally, lacked racing room when pinned behind the new leader by the runner-up in upper stretch, angled in off the winner's heels midway down the lane and finished with good interest while unable to pass. THE BEST DISTANCE set a well rated pace while well in hand for the first five-eighths, responded on the far turn when challenged and gave way turning for home.
