Chart notes
JUST LIKE RAMBO showed speed and assumed command leaving the start, set the pace while well handled nearing the turn, drifted out while clear into upper stretch, held sway to the final sixteenth then kept to task in deep stretch and held safely for the win. RIVER BOAT tracked the early pace from the inside, saved ground along the turn then ran in pursuit of JUST LIKE RAMBO into upper stretch, was gaining in the late stages but could not reel in the winner late and was a clear second best. MR. HIGH POCKETS bobbled then hit the gate at the start and was off slowly, allowed to settle in the early going, saved ground along the turn, was no match for the top pair into the stretch but stayed on in the final furlong and was clear in the end for third. SHOWTIME BOY close up to the early pace, prompted JUST LIKE RAMBO while outside of that rival heading to the turn, chased two to three wide nearing the quarter marker, lacked a response at mid-stretch then gave way. ROAD TO MUSIC CITY allowed to settle in the early going, was guided two wide along the turn then did not factor in the stretch drive.
