Chart notes

WORK TO LIVE broke alertly, ceded the early lead and tracked from the inside into the backstretch, well placed while saving ground to the second turn, swung three wide nearing the quarter marker then loomed into upper stretch, vied for the lead at the furlong marker, battled A NEW PEACE to the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and held in the final strides to prove best. A NEW PEACE sent to the early lead, set decent fractions while well handled up the backstretch, extended the lead into the second turn, came under pressure into upper stretch and met the bid WORK TO LIVE heading to the furlong grounds, battled that rival to the final sixteenth, grudgingly gave way in deep stretch and held for second. SING SCAT stalked the early pace, chased two to three wide and between runners nearing the quarter marker, was caught a bit in tight into upper stretch, shifted out and re-rallied into the final sixteenth but came up short in the last jumps and was well clear at the finish for third. TIMELESS GLORY settled three to four wide into the first turn, unhurried up the backstretch, shifted to the inside entering the second turn, chased to upper stretch and lacked a final response.
