Chart notes
STROKE OF MIDNIGHT , patiently handled behind horses down the backstretch, eased out to the four path leaving the far turn, advanced while drifting out, took the lead approaching the eighth pole and dug in tenaciously to prevail. MISTER ABARRIO lacked speed, angled to the five path leaving the far turn, floated out in the drive and closed strongly. FREDO saved ground on the turns, was in hand lacking room at the head of the stretch, moved to the four path n mid stretch and rallied inside the top pair. FREGON , unhurried early, raced in the four path leaving the far turn and rallied mildly. DISATTACHED lacked speed, circled the far turn five deep and passed tired horses. FLAT TOP BOX , three wide both turns, chased the pace to mid stretch then gave way. SENTENZA prompted the pace outside REMERTON and gave way in mid stretch. REMERTON set the pace along the inner rail to upper stretch and gave way the final furlong.
