Chart notes
SHACKLEFORD STRONG broke a step slow, recovered and pulled his way forward and bid three wide between foes into the turn, put a head in front leaving the three eighths, clung to the advantage under a drive past mid stretch then kept on resolutely under a drive to prove best. COALMINER'S KITTEN , away alertly, rated back off the leaders in the opening sixteenth, was shuffled back to last entering the far turn, angled out then came six wide for the drive, closed sharply through the final sixteenth while on his left lead and was getting to the winner. SUPREMELY vied outside a rival into the turn then was joined by outer foes leaving the half, dueled around the turn, stayed on as a presence inside horses past the furlong grounds then gave way grudgingly. LUCKY SHOT , four wide, ranged up outside runners around the turn, pressed to mid stretch then faded. EYE DEE KAY , inside chasing the quartet of leaders mid turn, angled five wide for the drive but came up empty. PHILIPSBURG (IRE) had speed to dispute the pace inside rivals, stayed willingly to upper stretch then faded.
