Chart notes
HANLAN cruised up three deep while under a tight hold outside horses to watch the frontrunner, patiently shadowed the pacesetter outside around the bend and grinded away on the outside down the stretch to get the better of the inside speed rival at the sixteenth pole and was edging away when at the wire getting the victory. HE SHOOTS HE WINS was away alertly to shake loose up top getting to the rail by the half, was nudged on for more in midturn maintaining a slim advantage inside, battled smartly on the fence through the stretch but gave way grudgingly in the final sixteenth just hold late for the runners up share. FRACEN MACHO had a stalking position ahead of only one runner along the backside, inched up three wide around the oval gaining position, shifted to the three path behind the embattled pair in upper stretch and was surging quite well late outside but could not get to the front two in time when crossing the finish line. FRAC RIGHT settled on the rail in mid-pack, co-trailed on the fence in the third flight entering the turn, shifted outside with five sixteenths to go offering a mild run, angled four wide at the top of the lane and finished up one paced to be a fringe player in the end. CADFAEL chased between runners after the start, kept pace with the contesting duo while on the fence into the turn, retreated on the rail by the quarter pole and could not play a factor in the stretch running. MIDNIGHT TEMPESTA broke sharp to have the lead after the break, then, was outrun early on dropping back to last while being nudged on for more, came under a more vigorous ride making little progression around the bend, angled out to the three path entering the stretch but could not get involved.
