Chart notes
TWIN CITY had a good position on the outside keeping a close eye on the embattled pair, travelled three wide staying even with the co-leaders around the bend, shifted out in the four path beginning to nibble away on the lead twosome in upper stretch and when encouraged for more left handed at the furlong marker found another gear to get up in the shadow of the wire for the closing in victory. POULIN IN O T was hard held vying on the outside setting the pace with an inside rival, continued to fight it out outside through the turn, edged away between runners winning the speed battle up top with a sixteenth left to run but eventually lost the war when caught nearing the finish line, being picked up by the winner in the final few strides. WAR STRATEGY battled on the rail going head to head upfront in the early stages, continued to dig in, stubbornly fighting inside runners down the lane, got slightly leg weary late giving way up top with a sixteenth to go but did find some resolve to finish up at the wire to save for the show award. I'M A GAMBLER (IRE) was content to stalk near the rear, began to make a subtle move isolated in the third flight in midturn, angled out to the four path in the stretch run and finished up willingly closing the gap outside on the lead trio but could not improve position at the finish line just missing out on third. SKY'S NOT FALLING was nestled on the rail with an outside foe while watching the contesting duo duel for the lead down the backstretch, kept pace while under a ride saving ground around the bend, could not quicken with others making a move in upper stretch inside horses and wilted in the final furlong. CANDY OVERLOAD was unhurried seeing the field down the back straight, could not get into gear around the bend making little movement, shifted out three wide for the drive but lacked a rally in the stretch. IRONSTONE was slow into stride close to the back of the pack on the break, was eager between horses moving up along the backside, offered a brief run with horses on either side at the three furlong marker, had little left backing away with two furlongs to go and emptied out in the stretch running.
