Chart notes
PURRFECT GIRL settled close to the back ahead of only one runner, could see them all while on hold confidently handled at the half, made a bold four wide move following the path of the runner up around the last bend, got the jump outside taking command in upper stretch but had to fight to the finish to narrowly hold on for the win against a stubborn inside foe. MAXINE MAGIC was allowed to settle at the rear saving ground, shifted out into the backstretch, made a good four deep sustained rally outside picking up runners, bid for the lead three wide around the last turn, poked her head in front for a moment two furlongs out, battled inside never wavering while the leader got a slight jump on her outside in upper stretch, fought back gamely on the fence to the wire but was denied at the finish. THE FIERY ONE (GB) forced the early pace going four wide into the first turn, dropped back off the pace duel to track the lead two while between horses in the three path down the backside, edged up closing the gap at the quarter pole but the eventual winner was sweeping past on the outside and finished up with interest to be a clear but distant third in the end. SUPER SERENADE had a slim advantage taking the short way around the initial bend, still was in the mix up front on the rail inside another along the back straight, had an inside position when scrubbed on for more clinging to the lead midway around the final turn and had little left for the stretch run and gave way inside at the top of the lane. ANNIA CORNIFICIA F prompted the issue between foes in the first turn, continued up top taking a slight lead outside at the half, was roused for more but could not maintain forward position mid far turn and flattened out with runners on each side by upper stretch. CLOSING APPEAL was taken back on the rail sitting behind the trio engaging up front into the first of two turns, had a good spot tucked in on the fence watching the front two battle up top along the backside, was hard ridden saving ground with five sixteenths to go but could not keep pace with the outside flow, shifted out four wide straightening out in the lane but was one paced to the wire. D'S KANDY stalked on the rail in the beginning, shifted to the three path between rivals becoming headstrong and having to be checked midway around the first turn, settled down in the second grouping between horses down the backside, could not keep up to others regressing inside by the three eighths pole and had little to offer in the stretch drive.
