Chart notes
BOURBON DAY raced just off the inside through the first turn and then three wide down the backstretch, tucked to the two path into the far turn and came under coaxing at the three-eighths marker, angled out seven to eight wide into upper stretch, rallied and had the leader WAITLIST come out under a right handed crop and was bumped solidly just outside the eighth pole, took command at that station, then inched away to the finish kept to task. WAITLIST broke in bumping WILD BANKER then got brushed by SMILE MON, raced forwardly placed three wide through the first turn dueling with FIRST TRUMPET to his inside, knocked heads to the nine-sixteenths before beginning to shake off that rival near the half mile pole, tucked to the two path through the far turn in sole command and came under urging nearing the quarter pole, went five then four wide into upper stretch, came out under threat under a right handed crop and bumped the aforementioned foe just outside the eighth pole before being displaced from command by that same rival, then ran on to chase the winner home well clear of the rest and along second best. SMILE MON steadied when FIRST TRUMPET broke inwards and then shied in brushing WAITLIST, raced four then three wide through the first turn before chasing four then three wide coming under urging three furlongs from home, went seven wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive while along for the show honors. MIKEALICIOUS chased along the inside under a ride from the three-eighths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, tired. WILD BANKER got bumped at the start by WAITLIST breaking inwards, chased just off the inside under coaxing from midway on the far turn, went six to seven wide into upper stretch and tired. FIRST TRUMPET broke in at the start, dueled from the two path with WAITLIST to his outside, got shaken off near the half mile pole and tucked inside into the far turn, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and faltered in the drive.
