KHAFRE tossed his head some at the start but broke towards the front, was hustled to the lead, showed the way in the two path, controlled the action through the far turn, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop in upper stretch, switched to a left-handed crop inside the furlong marker, drifted out in the final sixteenth and just held under strong urging. TIBERIUS MERCURIUS saved ground on the first turn, came under urging while well off the pace inside the three-quarter pole, gained along the rail while ridden along on the far turn, moved out into upper stretch, pursued the winner on the outside into the final furlong, made a bid while drifting out in the final sixteenth and just missed while clear for the place. O P FIRECRACKER bumped with a rival after the break while hustled, brushed with a foe into the first turn, went around that bend in the four path, tracked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the four path through the far turn and tired while well clear for the show. BOLD VICTORY dropped back under urging shortly after the start, saved ground on the first turn, lagged at the rear, was urged along late on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the two path, turned into the stretch under a drive and failed to threaten. COMMANDPERFORMANCE was hustled from the gate, dropped back against the rail nearing the first turn then shifted out, rounded that bend in the three path, was ridden along well back in the field, went around the far turn in the three path and was no factor. PERFECT FLIGHT was urged from the gate, moved from the rail to the three path early on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside of the leader, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the three path through the far turn and capitulated. TIZ A BEAST bumped with a rival after the start while hustled, brushed with an opponent into the first turn, dropped from the three path to the rail on that bend, was urged along on the backstretch, saved ground on the far turn and failed to respond.
