Chart notes
ITS JUST MONEY was reluctant to load prior to the beginning, broke slowly trailing at the start, was roused between horses soon after, getting a better forward position along the backside, travelled in the second flight inside another watching the embattled duo on the turn, lacked running room in the two path behind the trio of leaders entering the stretch, shifted out at the furlong marker having a clear run and went on by for the win in the final seventy yards. SOUPER ICONIC settled on the outside in mid-division in the beginning, could see the field by the half, made a big swooping move three to four wide around horses on the bend to loom in the four path in upper stretch, stalled a touch late and could not fend off the winner in the shadow of the wire. CELENTANO was part of the mix with challengers on either side down the backstretch, battled outside for the front in the turn, poked his head in front briefly three wide between foes at the top of the lane but faded in deep stretch to hold for the show award. HARPER CITY emerged from the group to have a slim advantage on the rail in the early stages, was nudged along clinging onto the lead on the rail through the turn, stubbornly fought on inside foes straightening for home, had little left late though and wilted in the late stages to settle on the fringes in the end. IMPERIAL STAR rated kindly just sitting a few lengths off the leaders while on the fence, had to be throttled down, checking mildly inside foes at the three eighths pole to be at the back of the pack around the turn and could only manage to pass a weary runner in the drive to the finish line. PRINCE SUSSEX shadowed the pace three deep in the early going outside, could not keep up to the leading two horses into the turn, retreated between rivals with a quarter mile to run and emptied out five wide in the stretch drive.
