CALL ME RIP was off a step slow then hustled to catch up with the pack, steadied into traffic at several points down the backstretch, had to wait behind horses through the turn while full of run, then went three wide into the stretch and finished best despite racing on the left lead until late in the drive. LOST MY BAG broke well, vied inside, emerged from the turn with a slight lead but was no match for CALL ME RIP, kept on well to be a clear second. RAYDEN AND REMI was one of the few not involved in the early pace battle but was always close up, was under a drive before the three furlong pole, advanced three wide through the turn, came four wide into the stretch and ran on well to gain the third spot. ALINES VALENTINE got good position two wide in the early pace mix, got first turn turning into the stretch but was no match for the top pair and got passed for third in the late stages. CHIEFWEAVE pressed five wide down the backstretch, loomed a threat approaching the quarter pole then could not find another gear when needed in the stretch. SABERMAN was close up four wide in the pace battle, maintained position to the quarter pole, weakened, then went one-paced in the stretch. PERFECT STRIKE raced three deep in the early pace scramble, dropped out near the seven-sixteenth pole and was not a factor in the stretch run. C F HENRY outrun from the break, raced well behind the pack through the early stages, launched a bid from the seven-sixteenth pole, made a mild rally through the turn then ran out of steam in the stretch. HARPES HILL broke well and was in the middle of the pace mix down the backstretch, backed off the pace at the half, then lost interest and came off the bid, went wide into the turn but could not make up the lost ground.
