GRACE HAZEL allowed to settle and tracked inside well behind the dueling leaders, bided time to the far turn, waited patiently behind horses while saving ground found best stride inside the furlong grounds and went clear in the final yards. ARARATTA broke well but opted to sit off the early pace, moved into third position down the backstretch, then launched an inside bid at the quarter pole tipped out to the three path and finished well but was bumped near the finish and outkicked by the winner on the inside. WALKSONWATER had good speed without being asked then went clear of the rest down the backstretch together with DAISY DE ORO shook that one off at the three furlong pole and took a big lead into the stretch, raced erratically in upper stretch and was overtaken in the late stages while drifting out under left handed urging. WILLIAM'S LEGACY good off to an awkward start and was near the back two wide through the early stages, started to advance after passing the five furlong pole, bid four wide into the stretch and finished well but was not good enough. SWAMP QUEEN settled inside behind the pace early then moved up to mid-pack late on the backstretch, steadied in upper stretch then finished evenly. AWREE showed no early speed despite the coaxing of the rider, chased throughout, put forth an even effort but was never a factor. DAISY DE ORO had some speed from the outside post, went to the front to the outside of WALKSONWATER and pulled clear of the rest, started to weaken midway on the far turn then had nothing left in the stretch. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
