Chart notes
TEX HANLEY rushed to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, controlled the pace in the run down the backside, held a narrow advantage through the final turn, and drew clear late to prove much the best. KOWBOYKABIN broke sharply and stalked the leader into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, rallied three wide under right handed urging entering the final turn, bumped with BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT leaving the turn, and finished two wide in the drive to get up for the place. GROOVIN' IS BAK away alertly and stalked the leader into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid three wide entering the final turn, and finished four wide in the drive to garner a share. BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT away well and tracked the pacesetter into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, struggled to keep tabs on that rival in the run to the final turn, rallied two wide through the turn, was bumped by a rival on his outside leaving the turn, and lacked the needed closing response in the drive. BARNEY GOOGLE unhurried early while dropping well behind the field entering the backstretch, launched his bid from the back of the pack entering the final turn, and improved his position over the final furlong while finishing six wide in the drive. FOOT SOLDIER settled well off the early pace while racing one out from the rail entering the backstretch, began to advance from between rivals midway down the backside, rallied smartly from along the rail entering the final turn, steadied sharply when trying to find room at the rail leaving the turn while losing all momentum, and wasn't persevered with late. MAKEITORBREAKIT settled well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, dropped back to trail midway through the final turn, and had nothing to offer late. Following the running of this race there were two separate jockey's claim of fouls. The rider of FOOT SOLDIER lodged a claim of foul against the rider of TEX HANLEY for alleged interference entering the stretch. and the rider of BRIAN'S DE LEIGHT lodged a claim of foul against the rider of KOWBOYKABIN for alleged interference on the final turn. after review the stewards dismissed both claims of foul, and no change was made to the original order of finish.
