Chart notes
MOUNT DOOM away alertly and raced to the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of BLUEGRASS LENT in the run down the backside and through the final turn, and held off a late bid by SNAP TO IT late to prevail. SNAP TO IT stalked the leaders from along the rail entering the backstretch, launched his bid from along the inside entering the final turn, and closed determinedly from along the rail in the drive to just miss. BLUEGRASS LENT away well and tracked the leader into the first turn while racing one out from the rail, forced the pace two wide in the run down the backside and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with his pace rival in the lane, but battled willingly to hold on for a share. NEWHART settled well off the early pace while racing one out from the rail in the run down the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, and finished with late interest from along the rail in the drive. ACCIDENTAL GENIUS unhurried early while trailing the field into the backstretch, commenced his bid from the back of the pace while saving ground entering the final turn, and found his best stride late while finishing three wide in the drive. MAKENA'S JOY broke sharply and stalked the leaders into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, rallied three wide into the final turn, but was outfinished over the final furlong. DEAL EM stalked the leaders in the run down the backside while racing three out from the rail, continued four wide into the final turn while pressing the pace, but weakened over the final furlong.
