MAGICAL TRICK travelled on the rail ahead of only one runner along the backside, made little headway on the turn, was roused at the quarter marker starting to get into gear, switched leads at the eighth pole finding more and with a sharp stretch kick went by many weakening runners through the lane catching the leader in the shadow of the wire for the win. FIRECRACKER FIONA tracked the loose leader going three deep early on, chased a fast pace with the field spread out around the bend, moved in smartly measuring the frontrunner at the top of the stretch, bid outside at the furlong marker, seized control with a sixteenth to run but had nothing left to fend off the late charge from the winner nearing the wire. BRIGHT SUNSHINE watched the lone speed while between horses along the backside, crept up on the outside through the turn, shifted out to the four path holding for the show money at the eighth pole and finished up willingly in deep stretch to end up a non threatening third at the wire. WHERE'S SAMNBAILEY settled on the rail in midfield in the beginning, had to be snatched up quickly at the nine sixteenths pole losing all momentum, trailed while taking the short way around the turn but was taking closer order and with good late energy, shifted out in the two path with a strong rally in the deep stretch for a minor placing at the wire. LEGS LIKE FLATTER stalked between runners near the rear at the half, made little advancement three wide throughout the turn, shifted out to the five-path turning for home, began to show good late interest three wide at the furlong marker and passed a few tired rivals running on end late. PRETTY GOOD JOKE was on a mission sprinting well clear of the pack setting a quick wind aided pace along the backstretch, continued up top rolling along through the turn, began to get leg weary from its early efforts still clinging to the lead at the eighth pole but wilted inside horses in the final seventy yards. SHAMELESS AFFAIR was allowed to settle at the back of the pack in the beginning, made a brief move circling around horses three wide from the three eighths pole to the quarter marker, angled out widest in the six path for the stretch drive, could not sustain the run while staying on the wrong lead and stalled outside at the furlong marker. GAMBLE ON LOVE travelled three deep in mid-division, kept pace while outside a rival early on in the turn, inched up between runners at the quarter pole, shifted out five wide fighting for a small chance for a piece of the action in mid-stretch but faltered in the last seventy yards. WORLD SHOWCASE was forwardly placed in the two path along the backstretch, moved up a position on the rail at the half, was scrubbed on for more at the quarter pole, offered no response and gave way on the fence through the stretch running. PEGGY settled in the two path in the middle of the pack down the back straight, shifted to the rail in mid-backstretch, regressed inside runners saving ground through the turn and folded on the fence in upper stretch.
