Chart notes

HORATIO broke sharply and stalked the leaders into the backstretch while racing one out from the rail, rallied smartly from along the inside entering the final turn, and closed smartly one out from the rail to assume command in mid stretch and pulled clear late. JOSE JOSE away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the first turn, set a pressured pace from the inside of VECTOR in the run down the backside, got the better of his pace rival in the run to the final turn to open a clear advantage, raced from just off the rail through the turn and into the lane, and was unable to fend off the late surge by HORATIO while drifting four wide in deep stretch. VECTOR hit the outside of the gate at the start to get away awkwardly, rushed up to press the pace two wide into the first turn, was unable to keep pace with JOSE JOSE in the run to the final turn, rallied one out from the rail through the turn, and finished two wide in the drive to garner a share. PISCO away well and was allowed to settle well off the contested early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, rallied from the back of the pack while saving ground at the rail entering the final turn, but needed more when called upon. MR MORRIS was off a step slow and settle towards the back of the field entering the backstretch, advanced three wide midway down the backside to race into contention nearing the final turn, rallied three wide into the turn, but weakened over the final furlong.
