Chart notes
OLD MONEY got away well and stalked FLASHOUT through the early stages, was sent to challenge approaching the quarter pole, found a stubborn foe but kept to task and wore that one down in the late stages. FLASHOUT broke sharply and hustled to the front, had OLD MONEY as a constant shadow to the quarter pole, then dueled that rival gamely down the stretch before giving way in the final yards while miles clear of the next finisher. CINCO BLAKE was a little slow into stride then got over to the rail when clear, lost the inside path and steadied near the seven-sixteenths marker, shuffled back then rallied in the stretch to gain third. RANGER TOWN was allowed to settle behind the pace in the initial stages, was sent after the leading pair on the turn then went flat in the stretch. DOC'S DEACON broke well but was not quick enough to contest the early pace, was under a drive through the turn and finished evenly while under steady urging and was being put in a protective hold before the finish. SPEAK IT broke well, raced at the back of the pack to the turn then was unable to keep up late.
