Chart notes
COWGIRL DREAM bobbled at the break then was pushed to get forward position then, pressed GAB'S HUMOR from between horses through the turn, turned into the stretch together but went clear in upper stretch under steady handling and urging to win clear. GAB'S HUMOR broke well and was inside contesting the early pace with several others, gained the lead passing the five furlong pole then was pressed by HOLIDAY LINES and COWGIRL DREAM through the turn, left the first named behind at the quarter pole then dueled with the latter into the stretch, was no match but chased that one home well clear of the next horse. FOR THE HOME FRONT broke well and was briefly up with the early leaders, dropped back leaving the seven-sixteenth pole and lost ground through the turn, re-rallied under steady handling and urging and came back to grab the third spot. HOLIDAY LINES vied three wide early, dropped off the pace leaving the five-sixteenths marker the tired in the stretch and struggled to maintain position. CLEVER CLEMENTINE took a bump from A THOUSAND SAILS at the break, then was last away then steadily advanced into contention down the backstretch, made a mild forward move through the turn but was unable to sustain the bid through the stretch and flattened out. HOLIDAY CRUISE raced inside with the trailing group dropped to last before the turn but saved ground and kept to task with a mild rally up the rail to pick off a couple of tiring rivals after the issue had been decided up front. SHERRYS RIDGE was three wide with the trailing group, stayed wide on the turn and into the stretch and was never a factor. A THOUSAND SAILS settled up close behind the pace battle, bided time while saving ground through the turn then weakened and went into a full out drive halfway on the turn and could not keep up late.
