WONDER WAVE (IRE) settled near the back of the main group under a snug hold, steadily advanced from the half mile marker, then was patiently ridden while boxed in late on the far turn, got a big opening at the top of the stretch, quickened and was all-out to hold off CRUEL at the wire. CRUEL reserved early, raced between the main pack and the two trailers, advanced into contention on the turn, had to wait for room as more than half the field fanned out across the track at the top of the stretch, found a seam about five paths out, accelerated, altered course to the inside and finished with a rush to just miss. BEACHYA was forwardly placed early, alternately pressing and dueling with VERY UNLIKELY through the early stages, responded when roused passing the quarter pole, finished willingly under strong handling and urging but was outfinished by the top pair. COVENTINA raced three wide with the second flight, launched a wide bid on the far turn then came seven-wide into the stretch, loomed a threat but could not find a winning kick when needed. TIZ A KNOCKOUT came away from the gate a bit awkwardly, went immediately to the rail, raced far back through the early stages, tried to rally eight-wide into the stretch and produced a grinding finish to improve a couple of spots. HOT COOKIE secured a rail position early and tracked mid-pack, advanced to be up with the leaders heading into the far turn, had to wait for room late on the turn had a path to the lead in upper stretch but was unable to quicken and finished evenly in the final furlong. ISOBELA void of any early speed and was the distant trailer to the far turn, passed tiring rivals with a mild rally in the lane. SHE'S A READER was away well, tracked close up to the half-mile marker then made a bid for the lead on the far turn, loomed in upper stretch then weakened in the final furlong. BOUGIE LIKE was four wide with the second flight turning on to the main course, continued that path down the backstretch then went one-paced in the late stages. LA RONALDA Y G got inside position early raced off the pace with the main pack, not far from the front, was unable to go on from the seven-sixteenths, retreated and had little to offer in the stretch. GORMLEY'S KITTEN raced in the middle of the pack to the half mile marker, started to drop back before the far turn and was uninvolved in the stretch. VERY UNLIKELY vied between horses into the first turn, pulled away with BEACHYA and dueled that one down the backstretch with the rest in close pursuit, tried to get away leaving the five-sixteenth pole then was overtaken passing the quarter pole and stopped in the stretch.
