Chart notes
ENJOY IT STRAIT took a light bump from CIELOS' KNIGHT at the start then was well off the pace through the early stages, losing contact with the main pack, rallied from the three furlong pole, navigated between horses through the stretch run and drew away late under strong handling despite lugging in. GRAZEN BOY was always close up behind the pace, bid three wide into the stretch ago duel with MISTER MONTE CARLO, finished up well despite lugging in most of the way, got the best of that foe in deep stretch but could not fend off the winner. MISTER MONTE CARLO broke well and secured good inside position, was always close to the front then responded when roused at the quarter pole, took a short lead in upper stretch, dueled with GRAZEN BOY and was outfinished in the final yards. RUNHAPPY D'ORO settled from the break, made a slow, steady advance to join the main back at the half-mile marker, went three wide under a drive and continued the advance into the stretch four wide and was gaining late. RED SUMMERBIRD broke well, vied four wide then eased back from the developing speed duel, moved out to the five path for the stretch run and finished evenly. B MINOR vied/pressed the pace three wide early, led the field to the quarter pole then weakened in the stretch. DAUX lacked early speed and raced near the back of the field to the turn, made a mild three to four wide bid on the turn then tired in the stretch. CIELO'S KNIGHT broke out and made light contact with ENJOY IT STRAIT, hustled to vie between horses, started to struggle to keep pace leaving the three furlong pole and was outkicked in the stretch. LOCO LUNA chased five wide into the turn loomed five wide upper stretch and faltered. LEA ME BE broke well but was outrun early, was inside with the second flight early, made a mild middle move to join the leading pack heading into the turn then struggled to keep up and was outfinished the rest of the way.
