RIPSTER was away well and gained the lead at the five furlong marker, went together with a pair of outside rivals on the turn, dropped out at the five-sixteenths pole, then came back on three wide in the stretch under strong handling and urging and got up despite racing mostly on the wrong lead and drifting out. EL MERO MERO dueled with RIPSTER through the early stages then with CLASSY SOCKS from the start of the turn on the turn, was trading punches with that one for the the length of the stretch then was passed late by the winner. CLASSY SOCKS broke well, tracked close up early then went to challenge for the lead at the seven-sixteenths marker, dueled outside of EL MERO MERO through the stretch and gave way grudgingly late. CASH FOLLOWS ME got pinballed at the start then raced at the back of the forward group to the turn, went five wide late on the turn and continued the rally into the stretch, was rapidly closing the gap but ran out of time. MO MOVES broke well then tracked inside off the pace, had clear run through the turn but lacked the needed response in the late stages. FASTENED broke with the pack then steady dropped back off the pace, stayed to the inside on the turn, swung four wide into the stretch and ran on some but was never a serious threat. MY WIFE IS RIGHT raced mid-pack three wide and finished evenly. SWEET TAPIN MORO lost the path after the start, got bumped and was off poorly and was the distant trailer to the turn and passed tiring rivals in the lane. CAPTAIN JACK raced near the back of the field and lacked a rally. DANCE MAN broke out and bumped with CASH FOLLOWS ME at the start then went into ACE OF CLUBS on the rebound, was still able to race close up tracking the leader then tired in the stretch. ACE OF CLUBS broke out into the path of SWEET TAPIN MORO at the start then lacked any early speed, chased from well behind and was unable to get involved.
