Chart notes
JIMMY broke on top and cleared the lead soon after the start, set the pace up the backstretch, held clear still unleashed around the far turn, came under a ride at the head of the lane, responded willingly, quickly pulled away to a commanding lead, tapped a few times in the final furlong and remained well clear. CAVANAL raced well off the early pace, saved ground, cut the corner and given cue along the rail at the head of the lane, finished with good response and finished clearly second best. PALACE ROCK raced near mid-pack three to four wide in the opening quarter, hustled along two paths wide into the upper stretch and ran on for a share. JON'S STREET BAND was forwardly placed sitting just off the leader in the opening quarter, came under a ride trying to reach rival around the turn, drifted out four wide turning for home, steadily weakened down the lane and lost show late. ROMANS WORD raced off the top two leaders up the backstretch, coaxed along the rail around the turn, cut the corner turning for home and gave way. DAWN STRATEGY raced off the early pace, was ridden along three paths wide into the upper stretch and failed to move on. RULING THE ROOST was sluggish away from the gate, raced in the back and was never involved.
