Chart notes
TWILIGHT EMPIRE chased from off the pace then moved into range up the backstretch, lost ground four then three wide on the turn, rallied into striking distance with a sixteenth remaining and inhaled the STELLAR CAP late to get up in the final strides. STELLAR CAP cleared quickly and crossed over to the inside, drew away under left then right handed urging on the turn, carried a comfortable into deep stretch and got run down approaching the wire. GYPSY LYNN chased two wide into the turn, found the rail with a quarter mile remaining and lacked the needed response in the drive. CEE'S THE IMAGE chased from off the pace on the inside, tried to go inside GYPSY LYNN but had the hole close and clipped heels behind that rival late on the bend and was not persevered with in the furlong grounds. DISCREPANCY broke a step slow, raced between rivals at the back then moved closer in the early going, chased three then two wide between rivals on the bend and came up empty in the drive. THE STEWARDS REVIEWED THE INCIDENT BETWEEN GYSPY LYNN AND CEE'S THE IMAGE LATE ON THE TURN AND RULED THAT CEE'S THE IMAGE CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS BY RUNNING UP ON THE HEELS OF GYPSY LYNN AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
