Chart notes
PROUD RONIN was nudged for more dropping back to last in this compact field at the half, moved in, sitting outside off the dueling threesome at the halfway point through the turn, swung out in the five path for clear run at the top of the lane and wore down all rivals in the stretch to just get up in time for the late closing score. TAKE CHARGE SOUSI had a tracking role in the second flight on the outside of another rival, circled three wide around foes around the bend, loomed boldly with a quarter mile to run, shifted in slightly in upper stretch poking his head in front between runners and ran on determinedly to the finish but just missed holding on for the win in the shadow of the wire. ROAD TO VERSAILLES broke put on the start, had a good position on the rail watching the contesting pair down the backstretch, took closer order waiting behind the embattled trio midturn, shifted off runners three wide at the furlong marker, finished up willingly with horses on either side to the wire and collected the show award in a tight finish. GLASWEIGIAN set the pace narrowly while on the fence down the back straight under a snug hold, was collared outside by a couple of runners midway around the turn, dug in stubbornly trying to hold off runners at the top of the lane, never really wavered to the wire but faded slightly late and was on the losing end of a four way blanket finish for the win. DOADSTER pressed the pace outside down the backstretch, was hard ridden making a bid between rivals at the five sixteenths pole, had little left soon afterwards and folded four wide in upper stretch.
